Community project - smart contract with dividends

Hi everybody,

looking at the announcement section nowadays the most popular buzzword is ICO. And to many people it equals scam. That's why I am a bit hesitating and not sure if I want to go this way. But here's the idea...

A lot of people invest into coins looking for a profit. There's also bunch of guys trying not to burn their home and make money by mining cryptocurrencies. Now imagine they would invest into a smart contract (ICO) that would act as a hedge fund and a mining datacenter. Investor would get a token that brings back more value based on good portfolio and mining results. There is quite often a bunch of overlooked coins with potential. Investing into them, mining them is a way to get more than following the major top 10.

So this ICO would collect money to make a project, build a team and a code, infrastructure and the portal to provide above services. Since people don't work for free (so far I haven't seen many) the initial investment is needed to put together a community of engineers, developers and specialist that will work on the idea. One thing is to put together some white paper and a website but then there should be a lot more work:

- portal that would show current portfolio and allow holders to vote in which asset to invest
- datacenter to start mining new coins with potential
- portal to provide mining stats/pool/access to voting system
- wallet easy enough to use for an average joe and a merchant api
- research lab where experts would develop AI to evaluate potential new investment opportunities

This is supposed to work as an instrument bringing income based on its success. Token owners would be able to trade tokens on exchanges, but at the same time they would be receiving proportional dividends. In a similar fashion that stock market uses. Also there would be a possibility to lock funds and get a guaranteed percentage on top.

As I mentioned community - this would be a project done by (paid) volunteers with transparent history (traders, devs, marketing experts etc..) Community of token owners would have power to decide on directions how to move, what to buy and sell, what to mine. Also there would be a board managing the activities and providing monthly reports with some extra voting power.

It's an idea and having my previous with coding and crypto it's a fairly big project. So I would appreciate input. Is this good idea? Would it work? Would you invest in this?
Anything to add, change, remove?

I wish this would be a beginning of a thread where bunch of people collaborate and as a result we build something new, usable and good.

My guess they are knowing about the fact the ico just the way to make money for them all, but they still saying the icos just a scam and that was so bad. But as far as i understand are you wanna make a project? But your idea seems similar to the brickblock which already raised a decent money through its pre sale. I mean, you can check it as your example.
