I'm only mining for fun and not trying to make a living out of it. However, I've heard LTC is better?

If you go for LTC, remember that it is Scrypt based as opposed to Bitcoin which is SHA256 based.  Different mining algorithm but amazingly some mining programs will let you do it without warning.

You can mine 2,5 BTC/month or 3 LTC/day on 2Ghs/s miner so choice is obvious
