Hey guys!
On this forum I've seen people saying thet there is already a plenty of physical debit cards that accept bitcoin. Is there any list with the most reputable of them? Also I'd like to see some overviews.
I'm one os those people that people that always got cards in the bank office but now I need a card that could be mailed directly to me. Also I should be able to convert money into many different correncies (including non popular).
The other question is a security of your funds on this cards:
I'm not sure that it is legal in my country to have any kind of offshore bank accounts without a special permision, is there a chance that I can loose money stored on such card?
Who keeps the private key of my btc while they are on this card?
If the bank card owner got scammed (or their data was copied with a skimer) usualy banks have to repay the amount of money lost by the owner. Will I have the same  thing while using the card ordered from abrad?
Anyway I will be very glad to see any opinions on such services.

There are plenty of topics here about those cards, you can find a dozen with no problem.

- Those cards are in $, £ and € so you won't be able to convert money into many different currencies: you convert your bitcoins to $-£-€ and no other. (the cards are available to EU citizens only now since 1 month (except WageCan))

- Those cards are not offshore bank accounts, they are prepaid cards. People call it debit card but it's not, it's prepaid card. Debit cards belong to a bank account, while prepaid cards belong to an online account (where the site offers prepaid service). Those prepaid cards could be compared to gift cards (to make it simple)

- Yes there is a chance to get your money stolen if for example your account is compromised, your card number stolen with the cryptogram, etc.

- Nobody keeps your private keys for those cards, those card are not loaded with bitcoins, there is no coin in. you exchange your coins with $,£,€ and then transfer the money to your card.

So do they have the same level of protection as bank cards (on the legal basis)? Or money lost from those services won't be refunded. Jut want to find out  if the safety is clother to gift cards or bank cards.

I imagine that they do. Just like any card.

I had some issues with a refunded purchase, and after contacting the support, they helped me out.

P.s: Shakepay doesn't work outside EU anymore, just like any other Wavecrest card. But I had them and it was the best Bitcoin card I have ever used.

You know, I'd recommend against these physical debit cards. If you're gonna do local purchases, just fiat. Otherwise, use virtual debit cards and load them as necessary. It's not safe to keep btcs without access to the private keys.

There are many people saved their bitcoin is online bitcoin wallet. Since, they only does not have control on the private key information still those people save their bitcoin in the same wallet. You does not need to worry to save bitcoins in the wallet but for safety concern don't keep all the money debit card wallet always. Whenever you need money that time you can transfer the wallet and can use it.

In the last few weeks Visa has stopped the issuing of these cards to anyone outside Europe so if you're not there then you might be in trouble. The only other one I know of that's non EU going into the future is Wagecan or something but it seems very expensive.

And I'm not so sure they have much or any protection if the provider decides to disappear. They'll issue cards to any old donkey. Perhaps they have to provide some sort of bond but don't go assuming it's as solid as a bank card.

You might have got several suggestion on bitcoin bitcards but i can sort out the best virtual and plastic i am using personally since i started adapting bitcoin.
Create a wallet at xapo.com and you are verge to order a physical debit card or use coins.ph to get a virtual visa card instantly.
Both can be reloaded through many methods including btc.

You can wait for the TenX or Monaco card which is being developed by now.  if they are also supported by banks in the coming years, these projects will soon be  used widely. I could see myself walking inside a resturant or in a store and hand out my card to pay for what I'm buying.

I've heard that debit plastic cards support in bitcoin funds is a risky thing because there is a war from legacy service providers with crypto currency.
Can someone confirm if xapo or ANX pro still have issues about their plastic card services?

On the other side there are ICO's about new crypto currency like MONERO whose service is about plastic cards.
