Hello guys, it seems like my account was banned ( jacobmayes94 ) sr member, i took a few days trying to figure this out to find that someone has posted saying I had sent a phishing link and must be hacked, so it looks like a moderator banned my account.

Looks like im glad i don't reuse passwords. The passwords on this site were not too complex and probably easy to brute force (not guess), but different from all my other key accounts which are much more complex. Seems like that was enough for someone to get in. Amazingly, they didn't change my password and i was surprised i was banned and spent a few days trying to figure it out, i even sent a ban appeal to the address provided upon login, no luck yet. I had no idea at the time I had been hacked or compromised at all, until i got a PM from someone as i can still log in, calling me a scammer, so i went over his posts and found that he had posted a reference to me sending some kind of phishing link.

PC clean with kaspersky. No suspicious activity over the network, did some packet scanning. OS had actually not long been reinstalled.

I will sign a message from my signing identity verifying wallet:

Addr: 17v4qbj7aBi8mpBE1A8HaQxLPNJKJ3pFdm

Message: I am jacobmayes94, the true owner of my account.

Signature: H1RKuTaehe1+d9KrV8rClOuqCoensWuPTqKm+uEDnNiRNQjjySwz5lyhOJDxQlt3FP10gywWJt645723KF+BpGY=

Also, the address used for my sig campaign

Address: 12Lcp5gJKqTxJfdt6Z6cV4ojqzBgsm1Ynt

Message: I am jacobmayes94, owner of my sig campaign address

Signature: IL2LaPS3tthBsZc7DYExyfX3e7zQoiDXWGbBndFOH64LdZUUFYl23AM6BWGQlRoEf30mDbhyAk0INFn CBO6IjHI=

I am hoping to get back on track soon as I am part of a signature campaign I really like and don't want to loose my space in it!

Email address on my account has 2FA and is not compromised, i use a static IP address from home but not on my mobile phone and rarely use my VPN so it should be obvious who is me and who isn't id hope, sorry if anyone got any unwanted links from my address. If anyone has a message trying to send me money somewhere, do not do it, i have not asked for any.

As my password wasn't changed, i have changed my own password to lock down my account.

This is my current sig campaign:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689841

The address is in this spreadsheet (you can find the link in this post from nitrogen sports): https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lBFvh0-msBKi7WQiHB-lcbIcnrkpq5bsboorXHz0Fxs

The other address was in one of my laptop sale posts as i set up an address solely for verifying my identity:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2410255.0

I also use a static IP address from home: 212.1**.*5.2*9 (astreks placed in place of some numbers, should be easy to identify as i don't often use my VPN but do sometimes use my mobile connection). I am posting without a VPN from my home static IP on this account, to make it easier to identify.

And yes, give me a while to go through old wallet backup disks, so i can get the wallet.dat file for that address. standby!

The older the address the better the proof. Looks like the above are fairly recent.

Quick and easy to find the old .dat file, it pays to follow satoshis advice to never delete wallets and permanently archive them offline, plus have a well backed up maintained archive.

Have you searched it? I guess not. Here is Cyrus' profile. He is online now while I'm writing. You might just have missed the chance to recover your account right away.

I sent a message to him just after you posted that, awaiting response from him and/or theymos.

Hopefully i can get it unbanned (as account is already resecured as hacker never changed password) before my sig campaign lapses.

If the forum ever gets a 2FA option, i would enable it in a heartbeat as i do everything else xD

Every day there are different ways to capture your data, heaps of viruses around the Internet, bogus links, etc. even in the present, there is no guarantee that you got hacked)
