Last night I decided to try out Slush's pool for a while, but went to bed and ended up getting disconnected. Today I see this:

#   Block found at   Duration   Total shares   Your shares   Your BTC reward   Block #   Block value   Validity
18284   2013-05-30 09:23:24   5:14:27   48529423   981   0.00000000   238658   25.41754350    confirmed
18283   2013-05-30 04:08:57   3:59:51   37961064   12   0.00000000   238622   25.50438406    confirmed
18282   2013-05-30 00:09:06   3:16:40   30931819   104   0.00000000   238598   25.47875001    confirmed

So I got nothing for the time I was connected? Is this normal? Seems like I was cheated... Sad

This happens to me once in a while too, but it always gets fixed within a few minutes. I think the system just displays zeros while it's computing your reward, instead of a message saying as much. Maybe the server was having some trouble and couldn't compute it for a while, hence the multiple zeros? Slush's pool is working fine for me right now.

You seem to have had some SERIOUS connection issues, and/or not that great a hash-rate(?).

With about 1.7Ghash/s, i submitted 4743 shares in round #18282, 5782 shares in #18283 and 7264 shares in #18284. The rewards were normal (considering the pool hash-rate, and the difficulty), in the region of 0.0038-0.0042btc per round.

The way Slush's scoring system works is, the more recent the submitted shares, the more they're worth. Which is to say, if you submit, say, 2000 shares at the beginning of a 3h round, and then your 'net connection fails or something, you won't get much (if anything) as a reward. This is meant as a pool-hopping deterrent. On the other hand, if you DO reconnect a while before the round happens to end, you CAN get back up to speed in minutes Smiley

If i got an average of 0.004btc for the 4-6k shares submitted in ~3h, you shouldn't be surprised you got zilch for ~100 shares submitted in the same time :/

Thanks. I guess I'm just too slow for the pool, then. But on every other pool I've tried, I've received about .019 per day, at least. Right now I've just got a single 7950, but I'm adding another one in a couple days.

Anyway, I found another pool that's working better for me.
