Does digital currency represent the coming of anarchy?

Does crypto have the chance to eradicate governments, banks, or stock markets?

It seems like crypto, or at least the block chain, can change more aspects of our lives than just money.

What is the relationship between Anarchy and Crypto? Which one is fueling the other?

one of the reasons for the emergence of crypto money can be seen as governments and the higher taxes they have put in place. but it is not right to evaluate bitcoin with anarchism as a whole. I think that anarchism is also against bitcoin.

Bitcoin represents more capitalism or more accurately, free market capitalism. The system itself is still governed, by nodes and miners. They however can only do what they are told to do and can only change the blockchain in extreme conditions.

And why do I feel like this is going to grow into another one of those "megathreads"? Smiley

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

What is anarchy? Cheesy Transactions and mining is decentralized dude, Not people, There are still rules and laws when it comes to buying and selling cryptocurrencies. There is still a code following hierarchy, There is no anarchy when it comes for the execution of commands. We do have the most strict protocols in the layers of source code. Blockchain and decentralized currencies are the beginning of true democracy, Where our lives is managed by ourselves. In anarchy, A single group of people assume the control and influence the lives of others, In crypto, Code is the literal government of the system, Did you see what I just called it? System.

Sometimes I imagine a crypto future like a scene from Bladerunner 2049. A heavily Dystopian society, a few individuals controling the cryptosphere, using bitcoins to create replicants. Other people growing bugs on protein farms due to the ecosystems collapse in 2023 because of mining consuming all of the worlds electricity. Theres the heavy tunes, color orange and ryan Gosling there too, but cant fit them really.

I missed the BTC train Sad donate bitcents: BTC:1CWpbYGZVmC14zqLgNmnU8R8CbM9dbx4CY ETH:0x546A87681f70929634236Ad243AE4722A5CbDcC6

Bitcoin is a way to diminish government's power over people. As someone already said, it contributes to free market capitalism, a system where the state has minimal or zero intervention in the economy. People are free to choose what to do with their money. Bitcoin is praised by Anarcho-capitalists (proponents of free market anarchy).

Um no lol! That's called a dictatorship! Anarchism is the exact opposite. Its the decentralization of everything. Since money is arguably the most important thing in the world, decentralizing money seems like the first step to Anarchy

Anarcho-capitalism is a political philosophy that advocates the elimination of the state in favor of individual sovereignty, private property, and open markets. Anarcho-capitalists believe that in the absence of statute (law by decree or legislation), society would improve itself through the discipline of the free market

Ahhh okay, so perhaps it is more of anarcho-capitalism than anarchism?

Nope, there will be no anarchy... bitcoin existed over a decade already underground, and there is no anarchy at all. Now since it has reached the mainstream, expect the government to make a move very soon. The government is always one step ahead, that's why we always need a new form of revolution.

Wait what? How does that prevent anarchy exactly?

With the Bitcoin price so volatile everyone is curious. Bitcoin, the category creator of blockchain technology, is the World Wide Ledger yet extremely complicated and no one definition fully encapsulates it. By analogy it is like being able to send a gold coin via email. It is a consensus network that enables a new payment system and a completely digital money.

It is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen. Bitcoin was the first practical implementation and is currently the most prominent triple entry bookkeeping system in existence.

Most of the rich people do own lots of bitcoins so if you revolt against the economy, they will attack too, so, no, I don't think its the beginning of anarchy or it does have anything with it... The world eventually will adapt itself to what's new.

Bitcoin is democracy.
The bitcoin network is a huge consensus network created by people for people.
Anarchy can not get along with formalized systems.

I think bitcoin, cryptocurrency, blockchain/Hashgraph technology as a whole has the the potential to shift the balance of power considerably.

Right now, the power sits in the hands of a small minority because they control the fiat based economy. Cryptocurrency has the potential to disturb this balance of power by taking it away from the minority and placing it in the hands of the majority.

I think the term "Power to the People" would be a great fit for Cryptocurrency Smiley
