A rumor was recently spreading through crypto twitter about Amazon accepting Bitcoin for payments, and that they would make an announcement about it on October 26th during their earnings report meeting. The rumor received quite a bit of traction. Charlie Shrem and John McAfee retweeted and promoted the article.

It seems like they are just shilling, I doubt James Altucher believes it himself but I don't know.
