As you can read in the title and would love to read more about it (https://cointelegraph.com/news/chinese-ico-ban-may-end-after-oct-18-with-communist-congress-elections), according to Forbes, the ban on ICOs in Chine may bre lifted after the elections on 18. of oct.

if the ban is lifted, what would that mean for cryptocurrencies? Would it effect the bitcoin and present alt-coins price? or will chinese dump some of their holdings, switch them or do something in case of this happening again?

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

We will have to see if this comes true first as right now it is only speculation.

But the way i see it, the price will rise higher than before, we all saw the drop in price due to China taking a huge chunk of investments away. But Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are slowly rising again.

I can only see growth if this was to happen.

it is possible but the chances are pretty low.
they banned ICOs mostly because they weren't regulated and scammers have been acquiring a lot of money easily and when people lose money they turn to their government and blame them for it over in China. so they ban all of them.
if they regulate ICOs they will bring it back otherwise i won't keep my hopes up.
