NYPOST.COM, this is a legit news site? If it is, then they should fire this reporter who is just making an accusations which don't have any solid proofs to support his accusations. Of course theres a freedom of speech and he is just saying what he feels, but in his statements seems he surpass the limits. That's very unprofessional. He is accusing China is secretly funding North Korea with bitcoins. That's a serious accusation right there. Anyway, no one will believe this since there's still no confirmations. But serious, fire this reporter.

It is rare to find a legit news site and all the big ones are liars. They launched the fake news stuff because people already started to show their lies and discredit them. It is like in X-file: deny everything, admit nothing, make counter accusations.

Of course all the news linking Bitcoin and North Korea are insubstantial at best.

Anyone read this article?
Its pretty negative towards bitcoin, calling it "bitcon" but still pretty interesting i thought.

http://nypost.com/2017/09/25/bitcoin-market-may-be-financing-north-korea-after-sanctions/

Quote
But I’m told the nations that put those sanctions in place are worried North Korea is getting around them by using the bitcoin market to get secret financing.

And I’m wondering if that’s the reason China, which seems to be on board in pressuring North Korea, recently shut down bitcoin markets.

There could definitely be some sort of connection between the shut down of Chinese exchanges ordered by the Chinese government and the fact that there are rumors saying North Korea is now turning to bitcoin to make a living.

Though i think that the major reason is still because of the fact that the Chinese government does not want bitcoin to take over the Chinese economy, if it gets big.

They don't want to take that risk and let it grow, they'd rather exercise their intervention right now and warn bitcoin companies they are not welcome in China.

There is no connection for china and north korea for banning bitcoin. They ban bitcoin because it is not that controllable for them and it is not possible for china to take over bitcoin and dictate it so they just tried their best to regulate it but they failed and the only way to stop the possible change that bitcoin can give to china is they banned the ico up to exchanges and bitcoin.

If that is the case then that is probably because China has most of the Bitcoin sellers in the world, but that didn't matter as a lot of volume went to localbitcoins.com right after bans.

Not  a single county either China, Koria or Japan or any other country can dictate bitcoin, because bitcoin is a universal and decentralize currency. If a single country will banned bitcoin who will even regret for their decision in near future, i do not think that it will effect the image of bitcoin. I am sure that in near future we will see so many other country who will accept bitcoin as legal currency just like Japan.

I have seen any real substance of research or verified truth in that assertion because Bitcoin is legitimate in most countries in the world it's not going to make huge decision on online digital currency for one country versus all of the other ones (more powerful and relevant countries).

The article isnt that bad. because he doesnt state a fake news as fact as all the other media does constantly. This reporter actually does say its a rumour/something he heard. Maybe you missed that part? If something is stated as a rumour, I appreciate that even when its "negative news" on bitcoin because in life you grow more if you hear ALL sides, and know BOTH sides, you cant conquer the world if you ignore/ridicule news/information you dont like. That makes you part of the problem actually.

It was amazing to be part of Bitcointalk for a little while. Thankyou. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5316241.0
