Just an update, dwolla are apparently working to resolve this issue permanently within the next month but for now please try sending a single cent via the following link:
https://www.dwolla.com/hub/812-544-3435?amount=0.01&memo=Please%20try%20to%20send%20us%20a%20penny.%20This%20should%20get%20you%20into%20the%20KBA%20verification%20mode

After doing that, our regular site should work fine - you should only need to do this once.
