I submitted a support ticket 2 weeks ago regarding a missing deposit and I still have not received a response. I know they are backed up, but this is ridiculous!! I would not recommend

So the rumors are true? https://cointelegraph.com/news/rumors-of-insolvency-circulate-among-users-of-bitcoin-exchange-poloniex-support-slow

And might not be the only one presenting signs of insolvency. https://steemit.com/chinese/@raogf/chinese-bitcoin-exchanges-accused-of-misappropriating-client-funds

They are taking like 30 days to get over it, stay calm.

Staying calm is easier said than done when you're waiting for an answer regarding a deposit not showing up. Important is that you keep submitting a support ticket once every 14 days, because older tickets are constantly getting pushed under a load of even more waiting tickets. This is exactly the reason why a lot Poloniex traders have made a shift to Bittrex in the recent months -- if nothing changes here, then Poloniex will eventually dry out completely.

consider the following:

the support became slow and they closed the trollbox with the argument that the trollbox moderators were going to help the support, but nothing changed

Do not you think that's strange? I mean, why did not they just keep the trollbox and hire new people for support?

then change their TOS it seems that the intention of this change was to prevent something in the future

First, "Be Concerned".

Second, "Make sure you submit a support ticket, from a Polo Freshdesk account with the "same email address" as the account you are having trouble with. If you submit it from a "linked" account, even if it is your "main" one, you can expect to be ignored.

Third, "Move your accessible Crypto off of Poloniex". Use a different exchange, such as Bittrex or Livecoin. Polo's interface is more functional, but their support has been virtually non-existent.

Fourth, "Give the Second suggestion above a week or two. Hopefully you'll have a positive outcome."

Fifth, If you "must use Polo" only use Polo with small amounts of virtual currency. If your deposits or withdrawals are worth $2000 or more, expect to have them get stuck without a word from them, and without any action until you complete the Second suggestion above.

Finally, here is a telling of my experiences with Poloniex, and reason to be concerned:

This was the major reason I dropped poloniex for bittrex… Support issue and honestly that is bad cause what is the point of the support there in the first place when you cannot service your users needs and questions quickly. I really thought by now this support issue would have been rectified but it seems it is still the same old story.
