Yes monero gives 100% anonymity to its investors or users so it can be possible to use it in illegal activities such as drug trafficking because it cannot be traced. but you should also kniw that not only monero have this features but also other altcoins like zcash, pivx, komodo, zcoin and more so i dont think that only monero is used on illegal transactions.
