Support - because the idea of BTG is good. They want the power of mining to go back to the common man so, people with GPUs can start mining again. Else, all the hashing power is currently concentrated with the huge mining farms worldwide, who vote unanimously about the future of BTC.

Somebody explain me how can one come and say I will fork Bitcoin and give to everyone free money? Do they give their many to us?

Or just give to us air..

To me this Bitcoin gold looks like a scam, is just an ICO which could not be listed in China, S Korea, ...

Market capital is 152 billion at the moment and not big institution enter, just people sell alt coin.

I dont have all the information but given what happens to bitcoin and alt markets when forks occur I say no more forks. By the time this is all said and done we will have like 50 bitcoins and most of them will be useless. Can

be please be united and stay with one bitcoin?

While the idea might be good, we're way past the times of GPU's mining on a large scale, it's the time of ASIC's and people are going to have to accept it. Plus, there is so much money that has been pourned into the community by people who are mining (mining companies) that they're not going to let the little people (gpu miners) take it all back.

I don't support it, and it'll get less traction then BCC (MUCH LESS TRACTION)

Waste of time.

I feel two ways on this. I think BTC will continue to be the main Bitcoin, but I do like the idea of BTG going back to GPU mining.

I also agree that the Bitcoin mining consolation by big players has brought us to this point and it would be nice to see the hash-rate distributed out to more common people. I know that the rich and powerful still can control large GPU farms too, but at least the hardware is available to everyone unlike the ASIC market where large orders get served first and everyone else gets the scraps months later after most of the profit opportunity has been used up.

It sounds like another altcoin and I don't see why it would be different than BCC.
In my honest opinion bitcoin can split over and over again and all new coins will be airdrops made for one purpose - to dump them.

People dont get the mechanics of the btc gold. Its not the new protocol on bitcoin blockchain like it was with btc cash. But its bitcoins protocol split itself. Split of bitcoins value. If bitcoin will be 4400 then they will get for example 3300 in bitcoin and 1100 in btc gold. There is no extra gains like it was with cash. Btc gold will support only gpu mining vs btc now mostly on asic miners. People will have choose which one from them is real and based on that ones value will grow, while the other will go down.

Just like someone said, the splitting means another birthing of another altcoin. And with serious effort it can help gain value if accepted. And the idea that not all Bitcoin wallet will be adhering to the rule of having a free equivalent Btg by 25th October. I am really looking towards this and hope to get my free BTG too.

Are you sure about that?

If is like that than who will take BTC gold, you will lose BTC.

Another thing I have to mention this Bitcoin gold is like an ICO, so is banned in China, S Korea, .... will be listed even on big exchange ?

What do you mean support? Support like forgetting about bitcoin and moving the bitcoingold? If that is the question, then of course not.
I will claim my coins and I will hold them for a while. I don't have a good GPU so I will not mine them as well. If any services where I can use bcGold, then I might use my coins there. If nothing good shows up, then I will probably just exchange them for bitcoin. An altcoin, needs to bring an amazing innovation for me to just swap to them.

We support it or not when there is a fork that will occur we can't do nothing about it no matter how bad we don't want it to happen, and when it happens I will still use the original Bitcoin and of course I will not support the other one or what they called it Bitcoin Gold because it is just a copy cat and another kind of Altcoin for me.

The implementation of Segwit2x are for the good and improvement of Bitcoin itself and the Hard Fork is inevitable when upgrading such thing and with that I am not against because upgrading a wonderful technology just like Bitcoin is needed in able to withstand future problems that will occur. So the only thing that can do is support Bitcoin in every way that it will take.

I have to agree with this ... the original idea of BitCoin was that everyone with a CPU could have a vote, but over the years, it's become that you need $100,000+ in mining equipment and a huge utility bill to get a vote.  I honestly don't know if BitCoinGold is going to catch on and "fix" anything, but Bitcoin has definitely strayed from it's original design, and competing ideas should be welcomed.

I support the coming bitcoin fork because I think it going to be an interesting one and it will bring a new window of opportunity of free coin. Besides, the project support only. GPU mining and diffulty adjustment will made on each block.

Good idea get free airdrop of altcoin. GPU and Asic will be different algorithm, Bitcoin which is suitable with Satoshi Nakamoto algo is BTC not BTG, Not worry about that, just wait for the airdrop and ready to make money, hei BTC now is about to 5000 USD.

It will only create some form of bad blood. There have been several threads which have been opened on this same. And in this case, it does not matter whether I support or not, the fork will happen just like the last fork because it has been decided already no matter the vote or rally can stop that. Personally, I don't support the fork because it will only lead to proliferation of the bitcoin itself which might then cause several confusions in the mind of users who will be coming fresh.

Bitcoin split would mean it would be creating a new altcoin coming from Bitcoin, so I think most people are anticipating most especially those who have experienced the split last August. Because they received free coins so most likely they are expecting this to happen on the upcoming split.
