I’m a newbie. Today I put together 6gpu mining rig. So I think everything is going great, I have everything plugged in the right spot I think. Things started going downhill when I pressed the power on button on the motherboard. The 6gpu didn’t start running, the motherboard has power though, the external dvd also has power, the keyboard and mouse does not have power, and the monitor doesn’t display bios or anything. The only thing that was showing on the monitor is dvi no signal or hdmi no signal because I tried both monitors. I don’t know what went wrong. Need some help please!

Well we don't do GPU's here in the BITCOIN only section, so move this to the altcoin mining section and I'm sure you'll get some help there!

lol,

You "think" you plugged everything in the right spot?

Take your rig apart.  Take the motherboard, cpu, ram, mouse, keyboard, and 1 video card plugged into the PCIE slot (or with a riser if you have no 16x slot) and boot.  If you are not getting anything start working backwards.  Personally, I would take it all apart and start over installing the processor, ram, hard drive, ect again.

A mining rig is just a computer and must be treated as such.

101 of building a computer is make sure you have good working parts because they come "bad" from the factory.  I bench my computers (or rigs) while the mobo is still in the box.  I just set it on top of the static bag, install the cpu, memory, hard drive, and video, then boot.  If it boots, I move on from there.

Take them apart and reassemble will be a good starting point. Ignore GPU/raisers for a moment and get the basic computer up and running first.

look at your mobo manual and make sure youre plugging everything in the right spot and aren't missing the CPU power cord or anything extra..
