hi everybody! im very new to this and exited to get going here . I just bought 2 avalon 741s and they should be delivered next month(hopefully) it was the official seller for the USA from the manufactures site so fingers crossed.
I just hooked up one of my gridseed 5chip asics and am trying to mine litecoin. im running umbuntu. this website gave me what i needed to install and run minerd so the litecoin process can get started.

on my litecoin pool account page the worker i added is showing up as green like it has touched in but im not seeing any hashing at all. pasted below is the output of minerd. it just keeps doing this:

etc, etc. no hashing at all.
I have a windows box running minerd just with the cpu running successfully. i figured that if i want to be more serious about this i should at the very least be running a flavor of linux.
also i have 2 terminals open one is successfully mining bitcoin with a geckko science thumb drive. not making much but it is working. I got that done without asking for help. but this time i really could use some
thanks for looking at my cry for help
