I thought transaction fees were around 0.0005 BTC?  I'm trying to send a transaction of 4.2418 but blockchain's wallet is telling me that I don't have enough in my wallet because I need 4.2433!  Anyone got any guesses as to why?

If you receive lots of small payments, and try to send them out at once, you usually need a higher transaction fee.

The fee is per kB (kb?), so that means you need to send a lot of information to do that transaction.  It's still only $2

Download the new client. The new fees are only 0.0001 per KB.

Your mind ==> blown.
