Hi everyone.

Just to give you a brief overview, I am a strictly Poloniex only trader. It has been the first and last trading platform I have ever traded cryptocurrency on.
However recently with it's new T&C's update, I really don't want to trade on it anymore since there are a lot of red flags that something might happen. Please don't discuss the red flags, that can be argued on a separate Poloniex thread only.

My question is if there is anyone out there who has good understanding on different trading platforms.
For instance I have been looking into: CEX.IO, YoBit, Gemini and Bittrex with Bittrex probably as my last resort since it gives me the same impression as Poloniex.

In Bitfinex they don't call the USD peg USDT, they refer it as USD which I don't like as for I believe there is shady business behind tether and I for certain want to know that when I'm trading between BTC and USD that it is actually USD and not USDT. Please don't discuss Tether here either.

In CEX and YoBit you can sell BTC for USD, but does someone know if this is actual USD Fiat or if they also just call USDT USD?

So in end, if anyone could give me information between all these trading platforms, that would be very much appreciated  Grin

do not use YoBit, they are the worst

I've heard a lot of complaints about cex in the past few days, so I do not think you should use their services

well, from that list the only one I have not seen complaints about him, is Gemini

Had Polo for the longest time, and just closed it, too.

Yobit - beware, hearing of lots of problems.

Do not use Liqui - check the thread in this section, lots of posts of Liqui not responding to tickets.

Do not use tradesatoshi - cheap ass site with questionable practices.

Cryptopia - so far, just ok - jury is till out.

Bithumb and Bitmex are next on my list to play with and see if credible or not.

So, yeah, list is getting smaller.

I'm not sure why using the ticker USD rather than USDT should bother you. That's just a legacy from when it easier to deposit and withdraw USD with wire transfers.
Are you actually asking which exchange you can withdraw or deposit USD? I tend to always use localbitcoins.com to actually convert to/from fiat as wire transfers from exchanges have become increasingly difficult with all the KYC/AML requirements and more banks blocking them. For trading, it really doesn't matter that Bitfinex label it USD and Bittrex label it USDT.

I've been using Bittrex for months. I never encountered any problems so far. That trading platform is fine. Simple and easy to use. Poloniex also. This is the first exchange platform that i used. I usually encounter some bug and ddos attacks. That cause a huge loss to me because i missed my targets. Instead of profit, i loss. Yobit is the worst exchange I've seen so far. This is not recommended for newbies because the UI is quite confusing and not user friendly. They have also bad support. Don't bother contact them if ever you've got a problem at their exchange. It will take weeks before they respond to your problem. I have not use Kraken yet. But it looks fine to me.
