I'm approximately 30 days into the crypto world ( still kicking myself for not throwing $100 into a bitcoin machine at local restaurant I always eat at) .

Anyway, came into this world mostly by chance, was aware of bitcoin but really knew nothing of the whole crypto trading marketplace.

Anyway here is what I've invested in and my "hopeful plan"

Ethereum (3) - plan to hold for the long haul and slowly add to this wallet as my finances and eth prices allow - no sell plan

Sonm ( 8470 ) - plan to hold until $1 and move 50% to ETH / cash out 50%

UnikoinGold ( 3972 ) - actual amount held to be determined after the ICO - this is likely a 2-3 year hold, I have a lot of faith in the team/roadmap here and will likely hold with no expected sell price

Verge ( 120,300 ) - I'd like to pretend I'm going to hold for the long haul, but if this reaches $.10 I'd likely take my profit and run

Waves ( 337 ) - Like many, hopeful for a strong future and holding for the hope of $30, would sell 50% at that point and continue to hold

ArToken (42,000) - Long term hold - invested 1 ETH / hopeful for a 10x return before touching.

Thanks for the thoughts and knowledge, this board has been a great source of education.

In general, I believe that this is a good list but I have deep doubts about Verge. So much will grow in price

It's a good list, not sure what ArToken is but the others look good. Sonm is undervalued right now and ETH is always in demand.

no bitcoin at all? best times for alts might as well be over right now, waves and verge are struggling, eth is not moving anywhere for several month and the others are real moonshots. wish you best luck anyway

Great portfolio but where is BTC?  The only coin I am not sure of that's on your list is ARcoin. I won't criticise you on it as I know nothing about the coin. However everything else looks perfect, just add some BTC. Your portfolio is 100% alt.. That's not a good thing.

Totally agree because I was also the same in the beginning but then I realized that bitcoin should be in the portfolio and not less than 30%

Thanks for the advice, basically it started with trying to get into the unikoingold ICO, it's a pretty painful/long process in Canada trying to fund accounts to make purchases. During these last 30 days or so I've watched bitcoin increase what seemed like daily in price, didn't seem like the right time to purchase but will certainly circle back on bitcoin.

I really think every long term portfolio should have a substantial percentage made up of Bitcoin and Etherium.  Everything else is debatable, and subject to profit taking or an exit strategy.  I do like Waves, though.
