It's very interesting post for newbies to understand next big things(Bitcoin futures) that are going to happen.

As a positive side, I see it takes bitcoin to masses. But another side is more scary, as whales or anyone against the digital currencies(banks) can manipulate the price in a big way.

What are your thoughts on this? Suggestions for newbies, who bought BTC at >10000$?

bitcoin is great i buy 1BTC for about 8,000$ last month and buy it today for 11,000$  (3,000$ and only 1 month ) without do any things.
you can start trading with very small amount of bitcoin. and earning fast in short time.
old holders will be so rich from holding bitcoin

Price manipulation is a fairly big threat already.  There's already the significant possibility that USDT (and Bitfinex) are a house of cards, and price manipulation could be occurring from a variety of different means in such an unregulated market.

Introducing futures while the market has still not matured much could make the market vulnerable enough for just one or two whales to pump and dump the BTC price to some crazy extremes.

There's very little to keep the price pegged down within a reasonable range, which could lead to euphoric speculation.  And it's dangerously close to when that will be possible.

The Nasdaq and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group(CME) plan to trade bitcoin futures will evangelize bitcoin to the masses and those that have negative feels about bitcoin will hop in. Meanwhile, this will take bitcoin to the mainstream and bullish the price as well.
