By the Byzantium Update, there are only three instead of five Ethereum units in Ethereum mining. AMD graphics cards are available again.
For Ethereum are a series of updates, which are called as a whole package Metropol. Last Monday the first update of the bundle: Byzantium. This gives Miner, among other things, a smaller amount of ether than in the blockchain as a reward for a finished block. In addition, the "Ice Age" (Difficulty Bomb) was postponed by 18 months.

The "Ice Age" provides an exponential increase in the difficulties for the mining calculations of Ethereum. The "Ice Age" or the "Difficulty Bomb" makes the mining less and less lucrative, since the computing power probably does not increase exponentially. Thus, the calculation of individual blockchains is always slower, which reduces the yield of miners. In other cryptic experiments, the difficulty always adapts to the performance of miners.

The goal of this "Ice Age" is that Miner will in the future put their money into Ethereum and then receive further crypto money. The ethereum developers want to move away from mining and to the use of smartcontracts. The user is to deposit money there for a certain period of time. The amount of the Ethereum to be paid out is based on the amount of money stored. Casper is  responsible for a successful implementation .

In addition, miners only get three instead of five ethereum per block in the blockchain. The introduced so-called hard fork prevents Miner from working with earlier versions. With the Byzantium Update  the clients Geth Version 1.7.2, Parity Version 1.7.6 and Harmony Version 2.1.0 are due. Anyone who works with older versions will not receive an ether for his calculations.

Prices for mining graphics cards are slowly declining
In line with the sinking lucidity of the Ethereum mining, the availability of graphics cards increases. These were partly sold out in the middle of 2017 due to the high  demand for graphics cards . This was also reflected in the prices, which were very high compared to the pre-production and also the start-up price.

Above all graphics cards of the series Radeon RX 580 and RX 570 from AMD were in demand for the Mining . Not available in time, both copies are available again. Caseking calls for the Radeon RX 580  between 349,00 Euro and 429,90 Euro. The Radeon RX 570 is somewhat cheaper . Depending on the version the graphics card costs between 279,00 Euro and 349,90 Euro. Isolated offers also create lower amounts. It is in the right direction for Gamer.
