Hello,

I consider to sell bitcoins of a value of about 100'000$ at once. Not yet, but as soon as the course of the bitcoin will fall.

So to get a good price, there must be an exchange of high liquidity. So I am looking for the exchange with the highest liquidity.

The exchange must be able to withdraw USD or EURO or CHF.

I was looking for a suitable exchange, but what I found irritated me.

According to this list https://bitcoincharts.com/markets/ Kraken (Euro) is the exchange with the highest 30d volume. Namely 591kBtc.
But when I go to this site: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_real-time_trading_exchanges it is said "30d Kraken" is only 50kBtc, which is a huge difference. On this list Coinbase Exchange and Bitstamp has the highest 30d volume.

Can you help me. I need the bitcoin/USD or bitcoin/EURO or bitcoin/CHF marked with the highest liquidity so that I can sell quickly a huge amount of bitcoins without affect the course in a great amount.

Thankk you.

Just try Bitstamp.com or BTC-e.com.

There is huge liquidities even you can sell 500000$ BTC there.

@deadley

Thank you. But when I go to https://bitcoincharts.com/markets/, accoding to this site, 30d volume of Kraken (EURO) is much higher than the one of BTC-e.com (USD). Can this be true?

May be because mostly use btcusd pair for trading. BTCUSD pair you can sell huge quantity easily. Never tracked much BTCEUR ever so can't comment on that.

In the mean time I found this https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets . Let me share it with you.

Surely this can vary from day to day. But according to this list, at the moment Bitfinex has the highest BTC/USD volume.

Please don't share anything. I know mostly these sites related to trading. It is because Bitfines allow margin trading.

I just helped you what you were looking, not interested at all discuss further related this.

@deadley

Thank you for your help.
I am glad that I started this little discussion. Thank you for the hint that the volume of Bitfinex is higher because it allows margin trading. I was not aware of this connection.

But in relation to the liquidity issue I guess there is no relevance, if the volume is caused by margin or not. Am I right? And if yes, then for getting the most amount of liquidity Bitfinex is better than Bitstamp.com. Or am I missing anything?

(I appreciate your help and your posts. I do not want to contradict you or make any bad discussion. Just want to learn and make my own thoughts.)

Bitfinex: NO WITHDRAW OF USD!!!, NO TRADING in Euro

BTC-e: Difficult Withdraw of Fiat, High Volume USD/BTC, Medium Volume Eur/BTC

Bitstamp: Easy withdraw, HIGHEST volume on USD/BTC, medium volume in EUR/BTC

Kraken: Easy Withdraw, High volume EUR/BTC  medium volume USD/BTC

For Euro I recommend Kraken, its the very Best.

Currently rates in Euro are slightly higher at Bitstamp and Btc-e

For selling small volumes I recommend smaller exchanges as some have higher rates...

While selling such high amount of cryptocurrency, one should be cautious as I have seen that in the name of money laundering an account with a huge money was seized ,however it was a fiat one. If you find any difficulty trading directly then try trading in smaller volumes. Bitfinex already has issues withdrawing usd.
