K, so this isn't so much an endorsement but moreso a discussion on the state of the market.

I've been consulting with a few ICOs as an adviser and I can't tell you how many conversations I've had with vendors in this space who are asking for ridiculous amounts of money for services that really don't cost all that much money to fulfill.

Seriously, I've been on calls with "marketing agencies" who started 3 months ago and are asking for 250k USD to launch an ICO campaign. Come on... Be reasonable.

I've talked with All-in-one ICO groups who charge 300k USD AND demand 10% of the raised funds. again... come on.

But there are some legit groups we're coming across. But you have to search for them.

Now, I'm not going to link out to this group, because I don't want this to be an endorsement, but I thought it was a breath of fresh air to speak to their CEO.

This is a marketing agency. And to avoid saying their name, let's just say that if you search "ICO Marketing" they're the second result on there and their company name has an animal in it "fox".

Anyhow, back to the conversation. This founder quotes us a very reasonable price, to which the ICO i'm advising asks, "why are you cheaper than the other groups and how come you're not asking for a percentage of the raise?"

To which he responds, "Because this is how much it costs to do what you're asking. We've been in business for 4 years. We've been working with Crypto groups for years. And just because it's a hot market now, why should we start gouging you guys? I think that's bushleague. And I don't want a percentage of your raise because that's your money. The money you pay us is what we agree on. The money you make from the ICO is what you earn. That has nothing to do with us."

Anyhow, I found it ridiculously refreshing to hear this since it seems that every freaking group out there is gouging and ripping people off nowadays.

Be careful out there my friends, there are a lot of charlatans.

Actually, you're paying these groups for their connections and advertisement expertise to make your ICO a home run. Not just for some simple services.

Without them, your ICO has a high chance of being a complete failure.
