These hard fork with BTC are so confusing for new adopters.
After Bitcoin Cash, now Bitcoin Gold.. What's next? And Bitcoin pumps and dumps like crazy which is a serious issue.
I don't think Bitcoin was created for speculators, we are now so far away from the original idea/concept.

The fork is going to happen on October 25, so you must have your coins in a wallet that is going to accept bitgoingold, so by this way you are going to receive them after the fork is done.
but i will continue holding as much bitcoin as i can, i want to receive those free tokens so by this way i am going to cashout all the money coming from bitcoin gold, maybe it is not a good move, but i want to buy some stuff, it has been a long time since i dont buy stuff for myself.
but i will wait, maybe there are more opportunities in the upcoming days.

Bittrex will not support at the begining bitcoin gold. So if you have any bitcoin there it's better to move to another wallet.

Next Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Diamond, Bitcoin Shit ...
Guys, what you will do if BTG would be scam? And all get nothing. But somebody sell own alts for this fork.

I never know and understood about it, I just use the usual Bitcoin, hahaha. Although I often hear about Bitcoin Cash, but I also never tried it or looking for it. I just focus on how to get Bitcoin as much as possible because that's what matters at the moment. I also hope that all these new innovations do not lead to scam and harm many people.

But, I also want to ask, what is Bitcoin fork? I only know that it is a certain amount of Bitcoin reduction, but I do not know the cause. Can someone explain it to me? And how to know fork that will come?

Hello everyone.
1. What is the date of the coming BTC hardfork (BTC gold)

2. Is it adviceable to keep my BTC in an exchange, just like BCC, it was pump hard after a day or two of the fork.

On October 25, just like what happen in BCH you should not make any transactions, store your private key and wait for reliable sources like theymos of when its safe to make transactions. Guide will be released on how to claim your free BTG after the fork.

My advice is this. Sell your bitcoin into tether when it reaches $6000. After BTG the price will drop. I estimate to either 5500 or lower down to below 5000. Buy your bitcoin back at either of these levels.

BTG is speculated at 10 to 1. Therefore at $6000 it will be worth $600. I personally doubt this. It will be more like $300.

Do the MATH and you will see why this is the really smart strategy.

Hi, everyone.
what do you plan to do with your BTC?
Is it better to reinvest in BRC gold? how risky is it?

in my opinion, BTG is a scam, it will not suffer the same situation of BCH, actually, most people who plan to make profits from this fork will disappoint probavly, btg will worth nothing

I don't store any private keys. I use e-wallets. I think it is more secure. I see no reason to change tactics storage of bitcoins at the time of this fork. In August my coins were in my wallet and had no failures. A month later, I received free bitcoin cash. I hope that this time will be the same.

Nope it is not more secure.. actually it's the opposite.

You *should store your coins on your own home PC wallet and back up those private keys etc.
Me i usually put the keys from the wallet program on a USB drive then stashed that at my house.

Storing your coins on a web site is stupid.
When ever the site owner wants he can simply take your coins.. then feed you an excuse.
Get it ? Site OWNER ?
Yeah.. "owner" he owns the site and your coins too.

If you don't have the private keys they are NOT your coins.

FUD first & ask questions later™

It is only 8 days left and up to this very date I have not heard anyone to name at least one wallet or at least one exchange that will support BTG for sure. All I hear is that I have to have access to my private key. Can you at least name me one wallet, that gives you access to private key. Not to the seed, but to the private key itself, without using third party software to extract it. Please name at least one, if you know of any.

With the upcoming hardfork, i guess it is best and much safer if you will keep your btc in your wallet rather than lettingit stay in the exchange. Wallets are more secure especially when you are keeping huge amounts and diversified coins.

Anyone that is storing the coins on a  exchange is crazy.  History has enough examples to show you how insecure it is for your money.

Trezor credited in the last fork.
It took some time but they did credit.
They've said they plan to do it again this time

Hard to predict, but I certainly won't stay with that for a long run
