Hi Guys,

Is there still point in mining and how long will it take to mine 1 BTC with this device :
Antminer S9-13.5TH/s ....

I remember the times 2 years ago or so, when one company was selling miners but we had to wait for pre-orders which took forever to fulfill .. what was that company name ?

With the current price for Bitmain Antminer S9 it doesn't make sense for most to buy one and mine.

You need figure out your costs for buying miner and PSU and other stuff possibly, running it and then estimate possible ROI time with calculator available online.
See bitcoinwisdom.com's calculator for example.

Are you talking about KncMiner?
Yeah that was a disaster, at one point I was glad that there was a manufacturer right in the neighbour country but I'm glad that I stayed away after all and have bought mostly Bitmain and Canaan Creative (Avalon) gear.

Don't hesitate and buy as many miners as you can and start mining when price goes above $1500 you'll roi then, but now that difficulty still low join the mining.

No i was talking about https://products.butterflylabs.com

Another company that is no longer alive apparently. It used be back then people had to wait for pre-orders while the difficulty was jumping all the time. Can't believe how much crap people come up with whatever they do.

Their miners were also shit by the time they arrived, I collect them as of now just for my little USB miner collection but they're generally not the most reliable. Their monarchs were quiet and relatively nice for mining with efficiency around that of the S5 or SP20 underclocked.

AMT was also a pile of shit that people never got their money back from; if you did get a miner, it was pretty much a LKETC dragon miner assembled somewhere in China and sent to wherever you lived.
