Jaxx and BCH

Hi,

Jaxx has told that if you transfer BTC from their wallet to somewhere else and have the private keys you can claim BCH.

Can anyone please give me a step-by-step description how to actually do it ?

You can find your private key from Menu, and tools. With your private key(s) you can follow the Airbitz guide they wrote for there wallet at https://medium.com/airbitz/how-do-i-get-my-bitcoin-cash-from-airbitz-e97982e3fc4c , and follow from step III (Step III: Obtain a Bitcoin Cash Compatible Wallet). i just got my BCC out of Jaxx and i want to share this with you. It is pretty easy and took only 5 Minutes. I think i am not the only one who waited and it was to risky for me to do any try outs.. but this one is really simple and even for me as a newbie who did some stuff wrong in the past it took 5 minutes

Go to https://wallet.btc.com and create a new BTC Wallet.

Now you have a BTC and Bitcoin Cash Wallet and you can choose your wallet (Cash or BTC) in the upper left.

Just choose Bitcoin Cash because the default is Bitcoin and go to settings.

Choose import external wallet and choose "BIP44 Compatible Wallet"

Now type in your Backup phrase you have created in your Jaxx Wallet. After that your BCC will be shown and you can import it. After 5 Seconds it is done. Now you can send your BCC to your Bittrex/Bitfinex Wallet or do whatever you want with it.

Jaxx is promising for months that BCH, soon will be part of the wallet. But, still, they aren'r ready. I couldn't wait and found an easy solution for getting my Bitcoin Cash with Jaxx for Android.

First
1. Install the Coinomi app for Android.
2. Create a bitcoin cash wallet in the app.
3. Now open Jaxx app
4. Go to Jaxx > tools > Display Private Keys > "I Understand" > If set, fill in your PIN > Display Bitcoin Keys. The top 1 is the most recent created private key. The list goes back to the oldest.

Perform the following steps for each private key
5. Select the private key that you think are used when the BCH fork had taken place.
6. Go to the Coinomi and within the BCH wallet select "Sweep Wallet"
7. Copy the private key within the private key field.
8. The Coinomi app will notify you when the private key is related to a BCH amount. If so perform the sweep.

Finally
9. After the sweeps, you can move you bitcoin cash for example to a Kraken account and convert it to another currency.
