Found some 2012 Casascius Coins, current price?

I found some 2012 Casascius Coins...brass.

Are they worth their same amount or do they currently have some sort of markup?

What kind of coins are they? (Brass, silver, silver gilt) What denomination? Can you share pictures?

They will sell for at least a 20% premium over face value...could be higher for more rare mintages.

Keep in mind that now these coins have Bitcoin cash attached to them, which (today) totals $750 per 1 Bitcoin. You should be sure to include this BCC value into the face value over which you expect to receive for a sale.

I may be personally interest. But you can also post an auction in the Collectibles board, which is where most Casascius coin lovers hang out.

They are selling on eBay for more than face value. For example on 19th August a 1 BTC coin was sold for $5500, few days before a 0.5 BTC coin for $2950.
So you should look for 1.4 times the market value of bitcoin.

To the OP, the prices on eBay are drastically inflated and most listings are a buy it now and a specific price and just sit there for months. Also there are some significant risks with selling your coin on eBay. You risk the buyer emptying the coin once they receive it and then claiming they received a damaged coin and demanding their original money back. Sales on this forum can allow you to leverage escrow to facilitate the payment process through a trusted third party.
