Has anyone experienced such an incident?

Out of the blue the balance is shown as "0" and on the ledger page a comment appears stating "Blockchain Broken"

this sounds like the wallet has some troubles in C-CEX. I hope they can solve this issue soon.

hello again and many thanks for the answers provided.

I would like to clarify that the XGB coin on c-cex is not related to the recent bitcoin gold fork. They only share the same name.

At the moment the problem still remains and the support has not offered any feedback to my ticket

First XGB is Golden Bird Coin in C-CEX.

Second, the chain seems to be on its own fork.

Currently, XGB is being traded on Nova and C-CEX, at the moment, the block height at C-CEX is 382386, where in Nova the height is 384398.

This issues started about 4 days ago.

Basically, they are on different forks. I don't know how they are going to resolve this.

Additionally, the XGB and the FutCoin (FUTC) daemon shared the same MessageStart codes, the same peer port. Probably due to the developer being either lazy or ignorant in changing the MessageStart signature.

Thus in reality, if you do a getpeerinfo, you can find both GoldenBird daemon and FutCoin daemon in the peers list. Thus causing the GoldenBirdd very very busy handling a whole lot of orphan blocks.
