Is it easy to find someone who sells bitcoins for paypal around here? There are no official sites for it so sole traders are the only way.

I found that the easiest way to buy bitcoin was through my local Drugstore. CVS in my case. I think the actual company was moneygram. It worked much like wiring money. they just wired it into my mtgox account. They do take cash only to avoid chargebacks. But it was very easy and fast.

some guys on ebay actually still do, but they have their own conditions (verified buyer, 98% rating etc)

For sellers the risk of Paypal is that a chargeback can occur even at 45 days, same with Ebay.  But there is that convenience factor for their customers.
