Investing bitcoins in start-ups

Would you invest your bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency you have in start-ups which are offering their own coin?
That question  bothers me a lot when it comes to instability of cryptocurrency.

You mean investing in initial coin offerings(ICOs) right? A great number of people here and in various forums and on Reddit are always in watch of the next good ICO. This can actually be profitable, just if you pick the right projects to invest on. Just do your own research: lookup on the team/developers, read the whitepaper, all those good stuff; and don't get caught in a pump-and-dump scheme.

There is no wrong in investing your bitcoins in startup.  But you should be very careful . Because nowadays there are so many scam ICOs popping up. Before investing in ICOs you should enquire about the whole team behind the ICO and check whether its legit or not.  Also the project concept should be unique and interesting. Otherwise the ICO will be a flop and you will loose your money.

Yes , i would do it because start-ups with cryptocurren for now is really potiental. You could become rich if you can risk it.

Everybody loves to invest because you want to get a profit. The question is there are hundreds of startups of what we call ICO now and its really hard to separate what's legit and what is scam ICO. IF you are not aware, there are have a lot of scam ICO, running away with investors money. But if you do your homework, like checking the team behind the project, researching about the ICO, roadmaps, whitepapers etc. If you think that the ICO is worth to put up your money then by all means invest on it.

I am investing in start ups for more than year and made quite good return with few of them but it is also true that I got scammed by many projects where I had invested.

ICO are popping up everyday and 90% of them are there to only suck your money, so you have to be wise and careful when choosing projects to invest into.

Personally I prefer to let my money in BTCs as it's the most profitable currency nowadays. You can make profit with this kind of investment (start-ups), but I think Bitcoin is more prominent, higher profit. Bitcoin is unstable, but on long term the results are only being positive, other investments can have the same instability without the positive results on long term...

I would probably be interested in investing in promising projects in Bitcoin, but probably not an altcoin. A start up which is either going to be useful or contribute to the community. The amount of ICOs coming out now is actually ridiculous.
