Hi,
I'm trying to shorting pin A1 to B17 on my ASUS P5Q SLI,
but after I put wire on pin A1 to B17 the pin B17 burn out.
Here is my burn pci-e x1 slot

Do you guys have any idea what went wrong?
Do I use wrong cable?

You shorted to the +12v... It's no surprise you wrecked the slot.
