It does not have anything special, in fact, litecoin is only attractive because it is like the "silver" version of bitcoin, and that is why everybody is buying them in bulk, because they think that it can reach or at least, have the same price that bitcoin has at the moment.
I have some litecoins at the moment, i bought them at $30 on July, it was incredible.
I bet all my funds in that probably no one knew that the price of each ltc was going to reach $100 during this year.
Probably it is one of the best altcoins of this year.. It was less than $6 on January.
