I have had a look at Crowdholding, looks a good project.

Although you are going to have to wait to invest, their ICO starts on the 1st of November.

Hello everyone!
I am new to altcoins and looking to get involved in the cryptocurrency world. I have $1000 dollars to invest into pre-sales / ICO's.

I have a friend who recommended me Crowdholding. https://ico.crowdholding.com/ Anyone else heard of them?

What do you recommend I should invest in?

Thanks everyone for your responses!

I did not research much about crowdholding ICO. But their pre-ICO was highly successful with a 257% turnout. This is a good sign you can consider since that simply means there are backers of this project. But you need to do some more research about them so that your investment will be worth it.

Welcome to crypto world Smiley I think you should start with ico more popular as more chances that they will become more expensive after the listing.

In threads like these you'll always get people shilling for their coin. lol. I'll give you a serious answer, you should check icocountdown website and look at ICO. It's very important to not invest without doing proper research. You want to look at things such as: team, who is behind it, support they're getting. Read every single post in their thread and take notes as needed.

You can also checkout announcement section but it can be little challenging going through so many threads, but you need it to do proper research. Good luck.

Best thing to do is do your own research, look for a project that interests you.

Investing in ICO's is very much like investing into anything, research and doing your homework is what is needed. Personally these are the things i look for in a ICO:-

- Stong Team - Not just good developers, but also a good strong marketing team, finance and CEO's who have experience and can drive the company's idea home. People focus too much on the developers and they are important, but if the CEO is a boob, not going to get far regardless of the product.

- White paper - This is the very outline of the business, if this doesn't make sense or is poorly written it is a huge warning signal. This document is supposed to explain everything and get people excited about their company.

- Do they need a altcoin? - If they do not need one, then the only reason they are creating one is to raise an ICO, keep away from those.

- Numbers make sense - The numbers need to be correct and thought out. Not just the ability to add more coins when the time comes. Also probably if they are giving away a lot in bonuses, that is a worry as they are not caring about their currency.

- Strong social media - creating their own content etc. Shows they want to connect with people and make this thing blow up!

Lastly

- Innovation - Does it change something? or is the same idea as everyone else? Does it inspire you? If the answer is yes then I would join a bounty campaign to get more information about the altcoin.

That's usually the steps i take when looking into investing into a ICO. Hope this helps

(PS Crowdholding looks like a decent ICO, just had a look at their whitepaper, so thanks for the tip!)

Just like kyber and the next will be the change ico or referium in some months later, because the only ico that hasn't listed in the bitcoin talk will give you decent profit, but you must remember about the community that already supported the ico or project.

I am going to recommend Centra, but even if you pick something else, pick one that has a real product that is very close finishing around the ICO.  This decreases the possibility of scam and ensures the team is working hard.  The projects that are 1 year away, who knows if they will ever finish.  So here is my pitch for Centra.

Centra is definitely the next promising ICO!  Something with a real product!
With a crypto debit card, you can use your crypto at any restaurant / store / ATM.  Just swipe your card like any credit card.  Need cash quickly, no problem, just withdraw fiat at a ATM with your crypto!

Tenx and Monaco both had giant 10x+ returns at their peak despite not having a working card.
Now with a real working card and people to promote and use it, just imagine...

ICO is on Sept 19th!  Mayweather is using the card himself and posted it on his Instagram.

Join slack to get up to date news and to chat with the centra team.

This is the sort of ICO i would avoid, i highly doubt that however talented Mr Mayweather is, i highly doubt he could spell cryptocurrencies never mind understand the concept of blockchain technology and it's potential.

I would do your own research, find a project that you believe will be profitable / good for society and look deep into the company. I would also keep away from ICO's that clearly are just pumping money into advertising so the masses will buy. I would much prefer a cryptocurrency with realistic targets and focuses on content creation and connecting with the crowd.

Many newbies recomending one or another ICO, but I recommend to consider these factors before investing:

1. Team - is the team capable of doing the product, do they have experience and skill set
2. Market - is there a niche or share of existing market will be made, is the market large.
3. Token model - is there a purpose of the coin, do you think it is useful.
4. ICO structure - how will the funds be used, roadmap available, do they need that much money.

Try Mira https://miralab.io. I think this project is rather good, at the time of pre-ico is coming in a few days (November 27-29). Their main advantages are off-chain storage solution, anonymity and ease of use for people with any level of technical expertise. Whatever the case, you need to do research and always be sure that what your investing in will work for you!

I've heard about Crowdholding and I am a big fan of their project.

Looks like they are wanting to create something amazing through co-creation.
