Yeah, they're annoying. They get banned if reported so just keep doing so. What I want to know is are they just bots from account farmers or are the ico campaigns using a service that offers to bump their threads to keep it at the top/relevant (which I know there are several services being offered to do exactly that).
Though I don't have evidence of it (other than the spamming), I believe some of these garbage posters are being paid to bump threads to the top. There was one, something like music coin--it had musical notes in the thread title. It was being bumped constantly last week, and the posts it was being bumped with were some of the worst shitposts I've seen here. Stuff like "I thnk music cure the soul, gd luck." and similar vapid statements. And they were not brand new members, either. I reported something like 3 whole pages of those posts and then the thread disappeared for a while. It's ridiculous. I have that whole section (bounties & tokens) on ignore. If I didn't, it would be near impossible to muster the attention span needed to find threads worth posting in.
I don't think these are bots, but I could be wrong. But there's no way these shitposts are genuine thoughts. I suspect people are getting paid to bump those threads, and it's easy to believe, too. We've got account sales, money for Yelp & Amazon reviews, fake Facebook friends, etc.
OP, you don't need to start a new thread for this kind of concern. Just report those posts as you see them, and hopefully they'll be dealt with. Mods are busy, but they're pretty good when they get the reports.
Just a rant in a meta forum... wanted to see if my report post madhouse clicking was worth it... seems that it is.
I get it, it's frustrating. It's like a parade of slobbering morons in the altcoin section (and many others, too), but it's definitely worth reporting these cretins.
