To be honest what makes a crypto succeed is how much dev support it has. LTC actually has dev support as most other currencies do not.
LTC should be rolling out a new client soon, they got a post about it somewhere on the forums here.

Personally I kinda liked WDC, but im slowly leaning more towards DGC.
