I'm looking for options, such as PayPal or any other way.  I just want to make sure I'm working with someone trusted.  Please help, because I don't want to deal with a sketchy site like bitinstant...I also don't want to wait for days.

You can use MtGox, it's the most known, but you will only able to deposit and withdraw money by bank transfer.

It's unlikely that someone will sell you BTC for PP because you can reverse the transaction and keep the BTC. Maybe just use an exchange or if you want to go down the p2p route use something other than PP. Smiley

Thanks, looks like I'll be going the MTGOX route.  How long does it usually take?

What else could I use for the P2P route?  Anything besides Paypal, like Moneypak?
