Does anyone have proven chip designs that work? I'm talking BOM, schematics of the chips design and other related documents they'd be willing to share. I'm looking for the most logical, efficient  design possible. Any information would be great. Feel free to email or PM me.

Thanks

Hi, I am new to this forum and I am interested in your topic.  Are there any open source ASIC chip designs for bitcoin mining?  I am guessing the latest ASIC chips being made by avalon and butterfly labs are being made out of silicon technology similar to designs used for CPUs.  I am curious about whether or not design for these type of chips are being considered to be made out of GaAs or GaN.  I know silicon has the superiority over GaAs as far is the ability to design complex integration of components, but I believe GaAs can perform much faster than silicon.
