I don't think that it's going to make such big of an impact.

They basically are stealing money from the ethereum brand right now. Other than that apart from having a bit better transaction rate and all that which can be topped by other wallets anyways, there is nothing special at least in my opinion.

Could prove to just be a pump and dump coin with no apparent future.

One of the Ethereum forks. I don’t see any reason to buy it. ETH is quite strong, so it doesn’t allow to somebody push aside itself. Ethereum forks are not so serious as BTC samples. To deal with platinum to waste time.
