10 of my 30 L3s won't mine - since Nicehash went down.  They have a solid green light, the one that blinks when things are operating normally.   Has anyone seen this before?

These ten stopped mining when Nicehash went down and didn't switch to the next pool, instead they were stuck at 0.00 hash rate.    I have 20 other L3s that all switched to the next pool.

I reconfigured the pools (removing nicehash) and soft rebooted them.  Still would not start mining, "Socket connect failed: Connection refused".   So, I hard booted five of them - now every single one of those five has a solid green light, ping up, gui is responsive, but will not mine.   The status page says "Socket connect failed: Connection refused".

These 10 bad L3s are split between two different facilities miles apart, with different internet, power and cooling.    I have five down at each facility.  The thing they have in common is that all ten of these were received from bitmain in the past 30 days.   None of these were being overclocked.

I also re-flashed the firmware on one of them - it didn't help.  Same thing.

I have to drive to the other facility to see if the non-hardbooted L3s also have a solid green light.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have a couple hundred here from bitmains most recent batch and they are running without issue. You need to look into the kernel log and see whats actually happening.

Stop buying industrial miners, running them at home, and then complaining about the noise.

Here is what I see repeating in the Kernel log.   I checked three of them and they all looked like this.

Its complaining about Temp Data Failed and no pools being available - but these are exactly the same pool settings I am using on other miners that are working.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so mystery solved.   I stupidly ruled out the pool as a problem, since all my other miners were able to access the same pool (litecoinpool).

I ended up doing a software reset through the GUI and then saw the L3 online and mining at antpool.
I reconfigured my pools and it mysteriously went offline with the solid green light again.
So, I switched to a different pool altogether (viaBTC) and it came online.

So the solid green light appears to have something to do with the pool locking out my miners.

i had the same issue with my L3s
but for some reason they were not able to mine on antpool ,
stratum+tcp://stratum-ltc.antpool.com:8888 and
stratum+tcp://stratum-ltc.antpool.com:443
are shown as dead.
and since all 3 pools, nicehash and 2 antpools were dead, the cgminer was constantly restarting

what are your settings for the antpool?

Mine are having the same issue starting a few hours ago. Are the Antpools just down? Mine are in a vicious cycle of rebooting and having the "socket" connection error over and over again.

Anyone figure a workaround?

It is unable to resolve url for any of the pools you have in the settings, thats why it is rebooting all the time

I switched over to LiteCoinPool and after a software reset all was fine and hashing continued. Is this a common issue for AntPool?

I'm glad you got it sorted out.  I've not seen that problem with AntPool before, in fact after I did a software reset - it was the default AntPool server that tipped me off to the problem with my pool settings (litecoinpool requiring you to add workers in advance of mining with them).
