I hate when I'm just mining something in the middle of the range, then just because it jumps to the top of some internet list for 30 seconds everyone jumps on it and the difficulty spikes.

I think ASIC mining has done more damage to the ecosystem than Cryptoswitcher.  Hard as hell for everyone to get one - kind of working against the decentralization idea.
