Hi everyone.
I'm still quite new to bitcoin, so I'm figuring out now, how to set up the client.
I just downloaded bootstrap.dat torrent for the blockchain and installed Bitcoin-qt 4.8.3 client (Bitcoin version 0.8.3), and in another forum post I've read that bootstrap.dat just needs to be put to the data folder to be automatically imported.
I tried putting bootstrap.dat file in various folders and also used -loadblock=<file> parameter, but no success.
Any ideas, how can I import it?
UPDATE: false alarm, I think it is importing now, just didn't notice at first the message that it is importing from disk.
