Hey all, I put together this tutorial from my own experiences working with three S1's over the past few weeks.

I will be keeping this tutorial up to date and adding an extensive troubleshooting section:

http://www.rubicite.com/Tutorials/AntMinerS1Tutorial.aspx

Disclaimer: I write these tutorials to make money and help people. I get 5-8 thank you emails every week for my U1 tutorial ( http://www.rubicite.com/Tutorials/AntminerU1Tutorial.aspx ) , and I think a few people click through to my store and ebay auctions, so I probably make a few bucks for my troubles. I wanted to include this disclaimer to be up-front and honest.

If you need any help setting up your U1 or S1, I am happy to help. My email is brianwebster@gmail.com

Helping people via email is good, as it helps me evolve my tutorials to be more helpful over time as I gain a better understanding of where people are getting stuck.

Hi, I am waiting to receive one in Romania and might need some help if it doesn't work properly... so I might contact you then. It works well?
Thanks!

Thanks Paint Shop Pro, very helpful.

one quick question: if several S1's have the default address set to 192.168.2.99 I'm assuming they have to be connected and configured separately.  Can this specific step be done off-line or, do I need an active Internet connection?

I have an S1, you can direct connect to change the IP address separately no need for internet to do that.
