A friend of mine has 4 unused still in the package 1080's for sale. He is asking $500 a card.

I was holding out for 1080 ti's but just wanted to get the opinion of the forum. Would it be worth it to pick them up for the price or should I just hold out for the 1080 ti's?

Also, any 1080's better than others (brands, specs)? Any particular models to stay away from?

Lastly, is there a hugh difference between 1080's and 1070 ti's? Just trying to compare the 1080's to what my 1070 ti's are doing.

Thanks in advance.

500$ for 1080, it should be the very good deal. What's the GPU brand and its model?
I could reach the best local distributor via my group buy, but the best price for 1080 is about 577$ which is much more expensive than your deal.

I paid $500/card for 1070ti's last week and again this week.  Check out the stats on whattomine to compare.

Ok, I want you to walk back in there and very calmly, very politely tell the risk assessors to fuck off! -Mark Baum
