Would it be better to have an extra child board for alt coin?

Lets be honest. There are many alt coins there that have uninteresting ideas and only want to vacuum money out of the market. On the other hand, there are ones, especially some which are coming up next year, which are exceptional in the product they made and its technological implications to the blockchain. I was wondering why there is no additional child board for alt coins discussion about new technology or economical perspectives? At the moment, the main child board for alt discussion is flooded with trader mentality(buy or sell or self-publicity), which I am not against, but it feels too general to be useful.  Perhaps, there can be a distinct board with rules governing what can and cannot be posted. This child board will be exclusive to the technological development of alt coins.
