Nasdaq, the world’s second-largest stock exchange, has announced that it will launch futures contracts for Bitcoin in 2018.
The Broadway giant follows hot on the heels of Chicago’s CME Group as the latest major organization to dip its toe in the Bitcoin water. The announcement came as Bitcoin’s price surged to over $11,000 in a topsy-turvy day of trading, with the price now back down at a fraction under $10,000.
