I have an idea for a project and thought I'd float it here first, in case there is an obvious flaw I'm missing.

Basically, I'd like to give users access to quality, ad-free content on a website in exchange for them being a part of my mining pool.

I'm trying to tackle the problem of "pre-roll" ads before short videos, which I hate. If there were another way to generate revenue without these ads, then videos of the 2-3 minute variety might work on this sort of site.

So, the process would go like this: User visits website. If they are part of my mining pool, they enter. If not, they don't. Once inside, they freely view videos, read articles, etc., without being distracted or delayed by ads. At the end of some time period, any bitcoins that are mined from the pool are distributed amongst the content creators/providers, minus costs for maintaining the site and pool, etc.

Any thoughts? Seems technically doable, but I'd love to hear your impressions.

Thanks!

lol, most quality content on the web are already free and ad-free in many cases, like stack.exchange
