Just looking at getting back into mining after losing everything to avalonshenzen a few months back and wanted to see what people had to say about the Avalon 3 modules. I've heard plenty about the s1's, both with their performance and fast shipping but not so much about the Avalon's. Can anyone please share their experience with purchasing from avalon, speed of delivery and with the Avalon 3 modules themselves. Very interested as Avalon claim to ship straightaway from stock. Thanks.

They're both virtually worthless at this difficulty. It's just way to late in the game too start small and try to get ahead unless your in it just to "support the network".

An S1 or Rockminer is about the same now as a single ASICMiner USB Block Erupter was last year.* Sure you can make a few dollars if you have 20 of them.

* ok, I haven't actually done the math. So I'm probably exaggerating a bit, lol.

Cheers for the replies!

The S1 and Avalon3 wont make heaps but will comfortably make ROI according to my calculations. The rockminer sounds great but I'm more interested in stuff that is shipping now. Nobody bought from Avalon? I'm interested in hearing if people have made successful and timely purchases from Avalon just as have many from Bitmain.
