Also:  Can I use this simulateneously with other miners for my existing workers on the same machine, like cgminer or what I originally used as a total n00b was GUIminer which I liked actually for GPU

uou can run as many instances as you want i think, i had 8 anker 10 port hubs set up, i would turn one on.... open bfgimer and then do this all over again for each hub..... as each then had there own worker and bfgminer window.

so to answer your questions, i think, yes you can run bfgiminer and then cgminer for your gpu alt coin mining

you are still using both the GPU and erupter, i actually only learned all this a month ago when the erupters were first released, so i am quite new also..... just passsing on the knowledge, it's what this place is all about Smiley

edit: are you going to be using your gpu to mine altcoins using a cgminer config?

sorry these replies are timed weirdly as we are both working...

here is the output now with the original commands here is the string...I feel like this is correct, it is using only my erupter

bfgminer.exe -o stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333 -u Altoidnerd.worker3 -p RSRKwCU7 --icarus-options 115200:1:1 --icarus-timing 3.0=100 -S //./COM3

...

yes, if I wish to operate my GPU as I had before with GUIminer can I?  I may migrate complete to BFG I like it so far, but just theoretically, can I run two miners like that?

yes it looks like it is now disabled.

just edit your .bat with the commands you want and then double click the .bat when ever you want to open bfgminer.

yes, as long as your GPU is not present in bfgminer then you can use it else where like guiminer. or you can just create another startmine2.bat file with a command line for your gpu worker..... depending what your mining i think.... i ahve never mined anything else though

what is the meaning of three hash rates separated by slashes like

ICA 0:   334.5/333.2/349.6 Mh/s  : A:128 ....

I understand accepted, rejected, stale

Smiley i never really knew... averages?

as long as it is mining away good and your HW errors stay under 1-2% of your accepted shares you are all good

Yes thats it.  The third is a running average over your shares.  I realized this because when the last number is still 0 you have no shares yet.

bad news, its still using my GPU.  :-(

that is my .bat file and it is still call both com3 AND my NVIDIA 4200 in a laptop...I would love to stop using the video card and mine ONLY with my block erupter @ com3...anyone know the correct input in .bat?
