Ah, I just read you how you had said that you had to get a new domain.  But the old domain was promoted by someone else:

Bitmunchies.com is intended to provide access to goods unavailable elsewhere in the bitcoin economy.

Though your forum account is from that time so I'm guessing there's some tie between you and the old BitMunchies.  Care to do something to alleviate concern that you might not be the same operator?

bearbones (Ira Miller) gave me the site because he gave up on it. I contacted him a few times to get the domain transferred over through justhost, but he never did it. We spoke through e-mail and over the phone a few times. He always seemed very busy, so I just chalked it up to him not having time. He gave me all of his code, which needed some tweaking.. And also FB admin to the page. I didn't know a twitter existed at the time or I would have asked him for that too. He fell of the radar some time last year and I don't know of anyone that's heard from him since. I tried contacting him recently through coinapult  (which he owned/ran as well), but it didn't state that he was the owner of it anymore.

In essence, Ira Miller gave his website to peeps and vanished.

When I asked him why he was willing to part ways with it at no cost, he stated that he didn't have time for it anymore and that he didn't want to see it die.

When my friend was reviewing the code, he found that it was linked to an old mybitcoin.com account (edit: not bitfloor; confirmed it was mybitcoin.com). Which was the old service that was "hacked" and lost half of its bitcoins. This was around the time that bitmunchies stopped shipping. I think he was a victim of losing part of his balance in that and decided to move on. That's a guess though. I haven't heard it from him.
