You are a bit late now. With that price tag, I can build a 1070 Mining rig which make more gross profit than the Antminer S9 at the current difficulty rate.
And even after mining altcoins, and the exchanging them to Bitcoin, the GPU rig will produce more BTC than the Antminer S9.

The era of S9 is over.
