ahh good ole approach anxiety. I used to do the give my friend 20$ and if I don't approach he keeps it. Usually friends are willing to do this because its highly entertaining. I'll check out the read though and if it works I'll send a donation.

Back when I was single the #1 strategy was just the 10-second rule... If you don't approach within that time-frame then you're likely to talk yourself out of it somehow.

Approach (and embarrass yourself) first, think later.

A good read is The Game.  It is kind of weird, but also has good information in it.  Plus it's definitely interesting.

It is a fun book to read, plus mystery has a lot of good concepts. His company now (lovesystems I think) has really evolved. Neil Strauss though has admitted he has left the player scene and claims it died in 2006 lol.
